The mother of Most Revered Sadguru Shree. Mama had been endowed with an extremely remarkable personality. Rajadhiraja Sadguru Shree Swamee Samartha Maharaj used to call her ‘My dear child’. We can well imagine the great authority she had in the spiritual as well as in the materialistic fields.
From the practical point of view she had extremely amazing knowledge of astrology and medicine even though she did not have any sort of formal education. Her deep thinking on Shree Dnyaneshwaree was really unique. She used to explain the meaning of Shree Dnyaneshwaree to the ladies of the town who used to assemble in the Rameshwar Temple in the afternoon, by quoting in a simple language examples from normal everyday life.
She literally moulded Most Revered Sadguru Shree. Mama. The spiritual strength of this Parama Sadguru Matoshree arising out of her rigorous austerities was amazingly dazzling.
Parvatidevi, who lived her worldly life in an extremely detached manner but with keen observance of all its aspects, lead deeply spiritual life. She was very firm in her determination, courageous and extremely sympathetically kind. She was a great devotee of the Lord and had great yogic powers.
It is extremely difficult to find another personality like her’s which we all of us consider as a lofty ideal.
