Most Revered Sadguru Yogiraj Shree. S. D. (Mama) Deshpande Maharaj
Remarkable and leading personality, from the domain of the ‘Shaktipat Vidya’ , bearing a meaningful name – Shreepad – was born in the twentieth century to an extremely pious and devoted couple – Shree. Dattopant and Parvateedevi – by the blessings of Paramahamsa Shreemad Vasudevand Saraswatee (Tembye) Swamee Maharaj. After receiving initiation in the Shaktipat Vidya from his mother – Sadguru Matoshree – who was a veritable treasure of austerities, Most Revered Shree. Mama embarked on a continuous journey on the path of ‘Namasmaran’, ‘Japajapya’, ‘Dhyanadharana’, ‘Sadhana’ and contemplation on ‘Shreednyanadevee’.
Received the authority to grant ‘Mantradeeksha’ and to carry forward the mission of the Sampradaya from Most Revered Sadguru Shree. Gulavani Maharaj as per the commands from the spiritual lineage, Most Revered Shree. Mama undertook the mission of uplifting the common people with great zeal and sincerity and he always gave away to them the nectar of devotional love.
In the person of Most Revered Sadguru Shree. Mama we find a wonderful triple confluence of three important spiritual traditions – Shreedatta Sampradaya, Shreebhagwat Sampradaya and Shreenatha Sampradaya. Being an incarnation of Lord Shreedattatreya Himself, all the Siddhees lay at his feet; but even though he had such great spiritual powers he never displayed in public his spiritual greatness and lived his life as a common man. While doing this he also showered his grace on literally thousands of persons and they have progressed on the path of Salvation. He had the aim of propagating the knowledge of Shreednyaneshwaree by several means such as initiating the aspirants on the spiritual path, delivering of discourses, performing keertans, writing, undertaking various ‘Anushthans’, conducting devotional pilgrimages, conducting spiritual camps, resolving doubts raised by the audience etc. Thus he got many persons interested in spiritual practices and the study of ‘Dnyaneshwaree’. He made their understanding and practice more true,
Most Revered Sadguru Shree. Mama was many virtues personified. Compassion, forgiveness and tranquility had their home in him. Most Revered Sadguru Shree. Mama constantly thrived for the benefit of the people relentlessly, while remaining away from the limelight of publicity.
Many projects and programmes conceptualized by Most Revered Sadguru Shree. Mama have been implemented and made functional under the inspiring guidance of his spiritual successors Most Revered Sou. Shakatai and Most Revered Shree. Shireesh Dada. They are propagating the work of the Sampradaya. Some schemes have been completed and the others are under various stages of implementation. They have created a very good impression, in this country as well as abroad, by their work for the benefit of the society. The various projects are as under.
