Most Revered Sadguru Yogiraj Shree. Gulavani Maharaj was born to the pious couple of Shree. Dattatreya and Sou. Umabai, by the blessings from Paramahamsa Parivrajakacharya Shree Narayan Swamee Maharaj of Shreekshetra Nrusimhawadi.
Shreemaharaj was a great authority in this spiritual lineage and was an incarnation of Bhagawan Shreemannrusinha Saraswatee Swamee Maharaj who was himself an incarnation of Lord Dattatraeya. Himself. Shreemaharaj received his first initiation in ‘mantra’ and the ‘upasana’ of Lord Dattatreya from Paramahamsa Parivrajakacharya Shreemad Vasudevanand Saraswatee (Tembye) Swamee Maharaj. The latter also personally gave him lessons in the Bhagwad Geeta, the Upanishads and Brahmasootras. He also initiated Shree Gulvani Maharaj in the sadhana of the rare mantra like the ‘Shreedattamalamantra’.
Shree Gulavani Maharaj led his life strictly in a manner as prescribed by the seriptures and continued his spiritual practices with great fervous. Subsequently he met Paramahamsa Parivrajakacharya Shree. Lokanathateertha Swameemaharaj at Hoshangabad. Shree. Gulavani Maharaj received from him initiation in the Shaktipata Vidya, which is essential for the awakening of the Kundalinee and for God realization. He also received from the latter the authority to initiate others and also to continue the propagation of the activities of the Sampradaya.
Shree. Gulavani Maharaj was extremely accomplished in painting and photography. During his public life he served for some time as a Drawing Teacher. Subsequently he took up the mission to guide and initiate people, as per directions of his mentor, on the path of spirituality on continuous basis.
As per the directives from spiritual lineage of Sadgurus the responsibility of the initiation of disciples of Shreedatta Sampradays passed on from Most Revered Shree. Gulavani Maharaj to his only authentically authorized successor and his best disciple, Most Revered Sadguru Yogiraj Shree. Mama. This responsibility now is being properly discharged in the prescribed manner by his spiritual successor down the line.
